Our partner, Francisco Martinelli, participated in the inauguration ceremony of the ALMA MATER solar project an unprecedented initiative led by Greenwood Energy and the University of Panama, marking a milestone in the country’s energy transition and in the educational sector across the region.

With an installed capacity of 40 MWp, this project will cover the total energy consumption of the University of Panama through clean energy sources, benefiting over 90,000 students and 10,000 faculty and administrative staff with a sustainable power supply.

In addition to representing nearly 10% of the country’s solar energy matrix, ALMA MATER will contribute $30 million over the next two decades to strengthen academic training in sustainability and renewable energy supporting research, scholarships, and internships for future generations.

An initiative that connects knowledge, sustainability, and a commitment to the country's development.
